Hi Sue, I've just read this now, so I hope you see this belated comment.

Thanks for this article. I agree with all of it, but want to add what appears to be one extra join between your dots.

Your recommendations are great, but they are each a means rather than an end. Perhaps people might be more encouraged to take on these recommendations if they are inspired by a collective vision for something better?

I think some kind of public brainstorming session is needed at a national scale to help capture people's imagination for how much better our society could be.

You've expressed the need for this imagination exercise too:

"This could mean envisioning a new kind of economy—one that values cooperation over exploitation, sustainability over short-term profits, and inclusivity over inequality. Imagine a world where technology serves humanity rather than subjugates it, where wealth is shared equitably, and where governments act decisively to protect the public good."

Also, I came across Audrey Tang & Glen Weyl's Address to the National Press Club, and thought it an inspirational way to invite more people to be involved in sharing ideas:

Hopefully this giant visioning workshop is something that the community independents might pursue in the next term of government?
